Special Education Programs

Strategies Program: Abbott School is a district site for students with learning disabilities. Students must meet academic criteria to participate in this program. The goal for this program is to help students improve academic achievement and develop skills for coping so they may return to a regular classroom setting. 

Connections Program: Abbott School is also a district site for students displaying chronic, extreme and pervasive behaviours. The goal for this program is to develop and demonstrate positive behavior and social skills through, as well as achieve academic skills, through a trauma sensitive school approach.
