    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

    If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

    CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL

    You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens between March and April each year.

Welcome to Abbott School! We are excited by the opportunity to share with you the exemplary work students, staff and parents are engaged in across our school and community.  Abbott School  has a strong reputation for fostering students’ strengths, finding opportunities for students to be leaders in their school and community and creating an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.  We have a committed, passionate and caring staff, a stimulating learning environment and a welcoming family atmosphere.

 

 

Principal's Message

Dear Families, 

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to a new school year at Abbott.  The beginning of a new year is always so exciting!  There are new friends, new teachers and new things to learn! There is also a new Principal at Abbott School to meet!  I am delighted to have joined the Abbott team as your new school principal.  My name is Andrea Cooper and I have been an educator for 30+ years.  I see my role as supporting staff, and families to ensure that every child can be successful.

I am grateful to be part of a school that has such a strong reputation for being a welcoming, inclusive community.  This fits well with my own beliefs!  I believe that Abbott should be a place where we learn, work and play together everyday! I believe your child should feel welcomed, cared for and have a sense of belonging everyday! I believe every student will feel happy and safe while being challenged to do their best.  I believe that as a staff, we will work collaboratively to ensure that Abbott is a place where this will happen!

The children and families of Abbott  bring beauty to our school through their diversity.  Our students are part of a school community where passion, imagination,and striving for our personal best is valued.  I am looking forward to learning more about you and your children in the weeks and months ahead.  Parents and caregivers place tremendous trust and confidence in our school, and your children will always be at the heart of every decision we make as a staff.  You are the best advocate for your child and their success depends on all of us working together!  I am always open to conversations about the school or your children.
