    Registration 2024/25

    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school

For the 2024 - 2025 school year, Abbott School is full in planned classes in the regular program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will now only accept resident students in Grades 1 to 6 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you have questions about registering, contact the school office.

    CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL

You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens at 8 a.m. on February 3.

Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Welcome to a new school year at Abbott.  The beginning of a new year is full of possibilities!  There are new friends, new teachers and new things to learn! I am delighted to continue my journey as the Abbott school principal.  My name is Bobbi Whitrow and I have been an educator for 20+ years.  This is my 11th year serving the Abbott community.  I see my role as supporting staff and families to ensure each student is able to reach their full potential.

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer.  Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world." Harriet Tubman

I am grateful to continue to be part of a school that has such a strong reputation for being a welcoming, inclusive community.  I believe every student will feel happy and safe while being challenged to do their best.  I believe in building upon the strengths of our students, our families and our community. I believe in meeting every child where they are at and believing they can do great things.  I believe that as a staff, we will work collaboratively to ensure that Abbott is a place where this will happen!

"It always seems impossible until it's done." Nelson Mandela

Abbott School is a place where diversity is celebrated and each child is is celebrated for their uniqueness.  Our students are part of a school community where imagination, and striving for our personal best is valued. Parents and caregivers place tremendous trust and confidence in our school, and your children will always be at the heart of every decision we make as a staff.  You are the best advocate for your child and their success depends on all of us working together!  I am always open to conversations about the school or your children. Please feel free to contact me by calling the school office or come find me before or after school!

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."  Helen Keller

Yours In Learning,

Bobbi Whitrow
