Principal's Message

Dear Abbott Families,

On behalf myself and of the entire staff, I want to extend a warm welcome to both new and returning families as we embark on an exciting school year at Abbott School! We are thrilled to have you as part of our community.

At Abbott, our core values are the foundation of everything we do. We are deeply committed to fostering an environment where belonging, safety, and kindness are not just words, but lived experiences for every student and every member of our school community.

We believe that when students feel a strong sense of belonging, they are more confident, engaged, and ready to learn. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels seen, valued, and connected. As Maya Angelou wisely said, "You are the sum total of everything you've ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, or forgotten. Everything is an experience. It's all part of the growth." We want every experience at Abbott to contribute positively to your child's growth and sense of self.

At Abbott, we focus on teaching children to be safe.  We remind them what safety looks like on the playground, online and in the community at large.

Finally, kindness is at the heart of our interactions. We encourage and teach students to treat each other with respect, empathy, and compassion. By promoting acts of kindness, we build a positive and supportive school culture where everyone feels uplifted.

We are looking forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences. We encourage you to be an active part of our school community, and we are always here to partner with you in your child's educational journey.

Welcome to the Abbott School family!

Yours In Learning,

Bobbi Whitrow
