Abbott School is a safe, nurturing environment for students with learning disabilities. Parents, staff and community members work collaboratively to improve academic achievement and coping skills, giving students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 whatever they need to succeed and return to a regular classroom setting.
We provide full-day Kindergarten programming, and a Strategies Program. At Abbott School, you’ll also find Leveled Literacy Intervention, 6+1 Traits of Writing, Power of 10 and Balanced Literacy and, starting at Grade 4, French as a Second Language. We also have the Aboriginal Head Start program. All students are provided with breakfast, lunch and a daily snack.
